Weekly Challenge - ANYTHING GOES!

Welcome Back!

First I want to give a huge Thank You to our regular players. We love your participation and always look forward to seeing your amazing creations!

We would like to see a few more players so perhaps you can convince some of your friends to play along? I know there must be more edgy artists out there that like to dabble in the darker side once in awhile. Poor crafters! Out there all alone, feeling like they have no home. Feeling like outcasts in their mainstream forums. We need to find these folks so they may explore all aspects of their creative selves. It is our duty.

OK...I'm going to stop before I sound like a leader of a cult.

To make it easier for more people to join in the fun, this week's theme is:

ANYTHING GOES!

Yep, anything goes as long as your project contains at least one stamped image (rubber, clear, or digital) and follows the rules posted in the left sidebar. You do not have to make a card. We also accept altered items, art journal pages, mixed media pieces, etc. If you do not follow the rules, one of which is to be a follower of the Smudgy Antics blog, your project will not count towards the prize drawing and may be deleted.

Weekly Challenge: BLACK AND BLUE

Welcome back for another Smudgy Antics Challenge.
This week's theme is BLACK AND BLUE.

Take this theme however you wish. Black and Blue can be your color scheme, use the words Black and Blue in your sentiment, or bruise up some "normal" stamped image, etc. The more wild and creative you can get, the better!
We like it edgy and dark around here so show us what you've got!

BTW, you do not have to make a card. We also accept altered items, art journal pages, mixed media pieces, etc. As long as there is a stamped image and you follow the rules on the left sidebar, it's all fair game.

Welcome back for another challenge here at Smudgy Antics!

Did everyone survive ~~Valentine's Day~~ Forced Affection Day last week? I hope so! i never trusted that blasted Cupid myself. There's just something wrong with a grown man walking around half-naked in a diaper "in the name of love". Cupid is evil I say! Anyway, enough of my babble. Let's get on with this week's challenge, shall we?

The theme for this week's challenge is "Wicked With Wings".

We are curious to see your take on this challenge. What does "Wicked With Wings" mean to you? Are you afraid of flying stinging insects? Do demons haunt you in your sleep? Have you ever seen a fae? Is a bird your familiar?

Get creative and don't be afraid to think outside the box. We can't wait to see what you come up with! BTW, you do not have to make a card. Weekly Challenge - Sketch It

Welcome Back!
Thank you to all the participants of last week's challenge. We always love seeing your creations!

This week is a bittersweet week at Smudgy Antics. It is the end of the term which means we will be saying ~~good-bye~~ see ya soon to some of the current members of the team. On February 1st we will have the announcement of the team for the new term. To honor the significance of our last week together as a team, both Smudgy Antics teams A and B will be joining together for this last challenge of the term.

This week's challenge is a sketch challenge. You may use the sketch as is or flip it, rotate it, etc to suit your needs. Your entry doesn't have to fit the sketch perfectly, but it should be clear that your project was derived by the sketch.

Here is the sketch to work with:

You can make a card, a scrap page, an altered canvas, a mixed media piece or household decoration. It doesn't matter as long as it is stamped somewhere and follows the sketch. For a reminder of the rules, check the left sidebar.

The theme for this week's challenge is Tall, Dark, and Gruesome.

Shove that happy crap to the side and get creative with us. Make it creepy or make it funny, but don't make it cute! Heck, I'll even take a little sexy if you can make it apply to the theme. Fluffy bunnies will definitely not work for this week's theme, unless they are giant and have fangs of course...or are zombified.

We have another challenge for you this week, and we can't wait to see your interpretations of our theme!

*To participate, you must make a project that fits the theme and add it to the post using the Inlinkz linky. Your link must take us directly to your project on a publicly accessible blog or website, or it will be disqualified - so please make sure you're linking to your actual post. It must be linked by midnight on the following Saturday, Pacific Time. This gives you six days to complete the challenge.

We have another challenge for you this week, and we KNOW you will love it! Since the holiday is fast approaching we are allowing two weeks for this challenge. Oh...and once again we have tweaked the rules to hopefully inspire more participants.

A style based on the work of Teesha Moore, Zetti is a blend of the ordinary and the fantastic. Blend collage, drawing, painting, stamping, etc, to make one whimsical concoction of elements based in reality and fantasy. Elements can include contrasting textures and patterns, bright colors, black and white patterns (especially stripes), faces and bodies that are mis-matched, animal parts, added body parts/clothes/wings, fantastic hats and crowns, quirky, odd, whimsical combinations of characters, lyrics, poems, handwriting and text. Use any of these, or all of them, but be sure to put your own artistic spin on it!
